West Midland Safari Park crowned UK’s most-loved animal attraction

Dayoutwiththekids.co.uk has today revealed West Midland Safari Park as the UK’s most-loved animal attraction, as part of it’s ‘DOWTK Loves’ activities.

Launched to coincide with Valentine’s Day, the UK’s biggest days out website is showing some love to the most popular attractions in the UK, based on the most viewed categories featured on the leading site, dayoutwiththekids.co.uk.

West Midland Safari Park, based in Bewdley, Worcestershire, is one of a handful of drive-through safari attractions in the UK, where visitors can see everything from rhinos and giraffes, to lions, elephants and camels. With an impressive selection of safari animals, plus a Discovery Trail to explore on foot, the park is also actively involved in conservation projects to protect a range of endangered species.

The safari park won the accolade as a result of its popularity on the site, and based on feedback from parents who have visited. The variety of activities on offer including the Land of the Living Dinosaurs, the chance to feed animals up close, and a free return ticket, were all factors making it a great value day out for visitors of all ages, and subsequently the top choice for parents.

The safari park was crowned as the most-loved animal attraction, a category which also features traditional zoos, children’s farms and aquariums. The category has also been sponsored by learningresources.co.uk as part of the campaign, which has a range of toys designed to enhance learning outside of the classroom.

Lisa O’Keeffe, Brand Manager at http://www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk, said: “West Midland Safari Park is one of the most viewed attractions we have on the site, and as they are continually expanding with more to see and do each visit, it’s a very worthy winner of our most-loved animal attraction.”

Laura Belford-Thomas, PR Officer at West Midland Safari Park, added: “We are delighted to be announced as the favourite animal attraction by Day Out With The Kids – it really means a lot to us. We work so hard to ensure visiting families and guests have the best day out with us.

“We have lots of exciting things going on this half term, including our event with new movie – Early Man – with a trail and exclusive prize and the chance to see parts of the set. Not forgetting our fantastic animals and some of the babies of 2017 – Fahari the southern white rhino and Fennessy the baby giraffe!”
